About Us

My name is Sheldon Hirschuber and I am the Owner/Operator of Tally K9 Boarding & Training LLC. I’ve held quite a few roles in my life; Psychological Operations Sergeant in the Army, Nuclear Medicine Tech and Executive Protection Agent to name a few. All said and done though my passion is for dogs, especially the working breeds. “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day” is my current motto and to me there is nothing more fun or rewarding than watching a dog and their Owner(s) learn and grow together as a team. I don’t claim to be the best trainer out there (as there are so many) however, we are often a last stop for troubled and/or aggressive dogs that other trainers will turn away.

Here at Tally K9 we take an honest and realistic approach to life and business so rest assured if you give us a call you’ll be in good hands, we are obviously doing this for money but it is far from our biggest concern. We understand that each relationship is unique so whether it’s a Teacup Yorkie who is terrified of everything or a Shepherd that tears up your house everyday while you’re at work, give us a call or e-mail and we would love to talk about how to correct the unwanted behavior! If you only decide to board with us then know your dog will be treated as my/our own. I run a tight ship and have done numerous risk assessments to ensure every dog in our care not only has a great time but one that is based in safety.
